Submitting Manuscripts
We accept manuscripts, but only for authors who have published fewer than three books (including chapbooks). We specialize in working with authors at the beginning of their writing careers. When sending a manuscript, please note:

1. The type of poetry we have already published gives a flavor of what we are looking for.  We have not published  romantic sonnets or haiku collections- there is a reason for that.  
2. How many books you have published (if "none"- state it).
3. Whether you perform your work at readings or slams.
4. We want to see a collection of work - a complete thought - not a sample of your poetry.  We do not publish a literary journal.  Unless a manuscript is incredibly special, we publish almost exclusively chapbooks, not full-length books. 20-30 poems is the range we are looking for.
5. Be open to feedback.
6. Unless a large enough envelope with enough postage is included, manuscripts will NOT be returned. Please include an e-mail address or a postcard for a response.
7. We are very interested in chapbook ideas with a visual component, even if the visual idea is not fully fleshed out. We can create the visuals for you if you have an idea. Come with ideas!
