Lucy Leggiero's poetry covers a wide range of topics, forms, and styles- often falling under the purview of stream of consciousness. She explores themes of childhood, gender, the politics of sexuality and the importance of words in creating connections with people.


Lucy Leggiero was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida. She received a BA in Comparative Literature and Women’s Studies from the University of Florida (UF) where she studied under poet and author Ntozake Shangé. Her poems have been published in Night Magazine and in the UF Center for Women’s Studies and Gender Research. This is her first collection of published poems. She lives in Annapolis, Maryland.
