Wonder City by Nan Byrne
New York City is both the focus and background of this collection.
Nan Byrne earned her BA from SUNY at Binghamton and her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her poems have appeared in New Orleans Review, Other Voices International, CanadianWoman Studies, Seattle Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Potomac Review, and many other journals. Bar Stories was published as part of Bottom Dog Press’s Working Lives Series, Ourselves as Students: Multicultural Voices in the Classroom by Southern Illinois University Press, and her chapbook, Uncertain Territory by Angelfish Press. She has been a Story Producer on seven award winning documentaries andheld the position of Director of Development at several well-known production companies. A citizen ofthe U.S. and Ireland, she currently lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
